Responsibility means different things to different brands. For us, it means focusing on durability rather than speed, and on products designed to be used and kept for many years. We believe more in one well-made product with a long lifespan than in many quick solutions that feel right in the moment but are soon replaced. It may not be the easiest path. But it is the one we stand behind.

CEO & Owner, SACKit
One of the most responsible things we can do is create products that do not need constant replacement, but are built to last. Products you want to take care of and live with for many years. Not only for your own sake, but also for nature, for our children and perhaps even for those who come after. It means fewer replacements and products that continue to function and look good, even when they are used.
It means outdoor furniture built for life outside. For wind, rain, sun and days when the weather changes more than once. Furniture that can remain outdoors in all conditions without causing unnecessary concern.
And indoor furniture made for life inside. For the presentable days with guests, and for the long, quiet days when everyday life takes up most space. Furniture that is meant to be used, not just admired.
That is why the vast majority of our products come with a 5-year warranty. Not because we are required to, but because we believe it makes sense.
When we say our products are made to last, that commitment should extend beyond the first impression. We do not chase trends. We never have. Instead, we work from a simple and consistent design philosophy.
Function first. Durability always. And only what makes sense.
Quality begins with materials. That is why we are selective. With everything. Wood, textiles and technology. Every single component is chosen because it can withstand everyday life. And life itself. Not because it looks appealing this year, but because it will still make sense in five, ten or fifteen years.
We design simply. Not for simplicity’s sake, but because it lasts.
Our design language is inspired by the northern Danish landscape. The shifting sand. The soft shapes. The light that creates calm and long shadows. The contrast between the robust and the quiet is reflected in our products.
The result is furniture that feels relaxed, functional and easy to live with. Always with a small detail that adds character and something to appreciate, year after year.
We choose materials carefully, ensuring the design endures not only in appearance but in daily use.
We know we are not finished. And we do not claim to be.
The furniture industry is not as sustainable as any of us would like it to be. But we do what we can to act responsibly.
We see it as our responsibility to keep learning. About materials, production and design. Together with our suppliers and partners, we continuously work to find better solutions and reduce our footprint where possible.
It is ongoing work. We take it step by step.
It is not perfect. But it is honest.
For selected products, we use leather from the SPOOR Collection by Scan-Hide, Denmark’s last remaining tannery.
SPOOR leather is 100% traceable from the individual animal to the finished product. This means the leather used in your chair can be tracked through the entire value chain, from the farm to the tannery to the final piece of furniture.
SPOOR ensures full transparency by sourcing raw hides directly from slaughterhouses that purchase cattle directly from the farmers who raise them. This direct chain of custody provides documented origin and clear traceability throughout the process.
The hides come exclusively from Northern Europe, including Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands. These countries operate under some of the highest animal welfare standards in the world.
For us, traceability and transparency are not add-ons. They are part of making informed material choices and taking responsibility for what we produce.
We are proud to present a range of wireless chargers made with thought on the environment and with a collaboration with the environmental organization Plastic Change. Plastic Change are working to break the exponential growth of plastic pollution on a global scale, and CHARGEit Care is our way of supporting this important cause. Through each sale of the products in the collection we donate 25 Euro cents to Plastic Change.

The CHARGEit Care series is covered in fabric made of 100% reused plastic bottles, and packaging is 100% plastic free.
Packaging in the CHARGEit Care series is made without Plastic.
When it comes to packaging, we adhere to the principle that less is more – even if “less” means less visually appealing. That means we choose materials with care and always use as little packaging as possible.
Plastic
We use as little plastic in our packaging as possible, and many of our products now come entirely without plastic. We are working towards only using 100 % recycled plastic if any plastic used.
Paper and cardboard
When it comes to paper and cardboard we strive to always find the most sustainable option. In some cases this means using 100 % FSC® certified paper, which means that the material comes from FSC ®-approved and well-managed forests. In other cases we choose to re-use cardboard from our warehouse, for instance when re-shipping a product that has been repaired.
The majority of SACKit's wood products are FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council®, FSC-C190311), furthering responsible product production. All our FSC®-certified products come from well-managed forests that practice responsible forestry, including ensuring that no more wood is logged than the forest can reproduce, while ensuring that lumber workers have the right safety equipment and fair wages as well as other controlled sources.
FSC®-certification is your, and our, reassurance of responsible forestry that safeguards nature as well as the people who work in it and depend on it.

As a manufacturer of electronics we adhere to the Danish Producer Responsibility System, which means that we live up to a set of standards that administer producers’ handling of electrical and electronic equipment and batteries. In addition we are committed to reducing waste in general and promoting reuse whenever possible.
Handling e-waste with GreenMind
In order to reduce our electronic waste we have teamed with GreenMind, who specialize in prolonging the service life of electronic equipment. All defect electronic parts are sent to GreenMind, who repair and then resell them in their own shop with a three-year warranty.
Resale of demo products
We strive to never discard products and to always find a home for used or damaged goods. As an example we sell all demo products used at trade
shows e.g. at a lower price on days like Black Friday. This way we can promote reuse and minimize our waste-related footprint.
With an international supply chain and customers all over the world, we transport a large amount of goods across long distances. We recognize that international freight transportation is a major contributor to air pollution, which is why we are continuously assessing our freight process and working on ways to reduce emissions related to transportation.
During 2020 we worked together with Danish Transport Optimization in order to streamline transportation throughout our entire supply chain. This includes minimizing air freight, implementing new transport procedures, and minimizing box and order sizes.
To manage the conditions at our production facilities we use the Amfori BSCI code of conduct. BSCI stands for Business Social Compliance Initiative, and it helps companies like us improve social performance and tackle the challenges of an international supply chain.
The Amfori BSCI code of conduct is based on international labor
standards such as the International Labor Organization’s conventions and declarations and the United Nations’ Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
