Our products are designed in Denmark, in close collaboration with the designers behind each series. This means a short path from idea to finished product, and a process where we can follow the quality closely from the very first sketches. For you as a contract customer, it means a product range you can discuss with us, from the overall design down to the smallest detail.
Quality and good craftsmanship
Our designs are simple and functional. Not to be minimalist for the sake of minimalism, but because the simple often lasts longest.
For us, good design is about choices – what to include and what to leave out – and we make them deliberately, together with the Danish designers behind each product. The collaboration often spans several years, from the first sketches to the finished product, and creates a closer relationship than a one-off design assignment. It means our products are developed with the same attention to function as to expression, and that we design for everyday life, not for a season.
For you as a contract customer, it means a product range that is coherent across series, because it is built on the same design principles, whether the chair stands in a home or a meeting room.
Steffensen & Würtz
With a wholehearted approach to design, Danish design duo Thomas Steffensen and Pia Würtz create distinctive, functional and durable designs worth keeping for generations. Danish design traditions shine through in the product, where the elegant stature is created with careful attention to quality – all in a way that makes sense both aesthetically and functionally.
Henrik Bønnelycke
Henrik Bønnelycke and his design firm Bønnelycke MDD work with curiosity and uncompromising thoroughness in their designs. For Bønnelycke, the value of a design arises when a product is relevant, and when it is bought, used and appreciated – a philosophy we also work by and value at sackit.
Nicolai Rytter
Nicolai Rytter trained at the Aarhus School of Architecture and works at the intersection of design and architecture. His approach is about taking away rather than adding, so that materials, construction and function are allowed to define the form. For sackit, he is behind the Favn lounge chair, the Arv coffee table and Soft Sofa, among others – design with clean lines and details that have a purpose.
C.F. Møller Architects
C.F. Møller Design is the design team at C.F. Møller Architects, one of Scandinavia's oldest and largest architectural practices, founded in Aarhus in 1924. The team works across architecture, interiors and industrial design and translates architectural thinking into useful products with a simple, clear expression. For sackit, they have created the Pebble pendant – a slim line in aluminium with rounded oak end pieces that gives an even, pleasant light over dining and meeting tables.
