Cobana Hammock
Cobana Hammock is a freestanding outdoor hammock with a stand in powder-coated aluminium and a bed in olefin or Sunproof Bouclé. It needs neither trees nor fixings and can be placed freely on grass, on a terrace or by the pool.
The hammock gives guests a place to unwind during the day and is a natural feature at hotels, glamping sites, campsites, spa areas and holiday rentals – anywhere the outdoor space should invite calm and relaxation.
A stable stand that does not rust
The stand is made of powder-coated aluminium and measures 292 x 125 x 101 cm. Aluminium does not rust and withstands both salt water and chlorinated water, so the hammock can also stand by the coast or close to the pool. The hammock carries up to 150 kg.
The stand is available in Taupe and Black and is delivered unassembled. Stand and bed can also be bought separately, so a worn textile can be replaced without replacing the whole hammock.
Textiles for outdoor living
The bed is available in ten colours across three textiles: Cobana and Kirra in olefin and Sunproof Bouclé in acrylic. The textiles are water-repellent, have a lightfastness of 7–8 and are finished with hand-sewn stitching. The olefin textiles have an abrasion resistance of 20,000 Martindale, while Bouclé has 90,000 Martindale.
The textile shapes itself to the body and provides supportive comfort. Please note that Bouclé takes longer to dry than olefin due to the fabric's higher pile.
Storage and winter
The hammock can be used outdoors all summer. We recommend bringing it in during strong winds and storms and storing it indoors in winter. When it rains, the bed can be tipped so the water runs off.
Hammock Winter Cover protects the hammock from wind and weather when it stands outside, and Hammock Bag has three compartments, so stand and bed can be packed together and stored separately outside the season.
A hammock creates a place in the outdoor space where the pace slows down. Cobana Hammock is built to be used again and again by many different guests – and to be packed away when the season is over.
