The Cobana series
The Cobana series brings together bean bag chair, pouf, modular sofa and hammock in one weather-resistant design language. The furniture is developed to stay outside all season and can be combined freely, so the hotel terrace, pool area, campsite or café's outdoor dining area gets a coherent look – with room for both short breaks and long stays.

Bean bag chair for indoor and outdoor use
Cobana Lounge Chair
Cobana Lounge Chair is a shape-retaining bean bag chair with a backrest, where the filling is integrated into the construction itself. It keeps its shape and gives good support to back and body – even when used by changing guests day after day. With more than 150,000 bean bags sold, Cobana is a proven choice for hotels, beach bars and holiday centres.
The 100% olefin cover is water-repellent, has a lightfastness of 7–8 and withstands both salt and chlorinated water. After a shower, the chair is tipped so the water runs off. The filling of non-toxic EPS beads can be topped up when the chair becomes softer over time – this extends its lifespan and keeps maintenance simple.
Dimensions: 96 × 80 × 70 cm (L × W × H) · Seat height: 40 cm · Seat depth: 55 cm · Weight: 6 kg · Abrasion resistance: 20,000 Martindale
Footstool, seat or table
Cobana Pouf
Cobana Pouf is the natural companion to Cobana Lounge Chair but stands just as well on its own. It is used as a footstool, as extra seating around a low table or – with a Patio Serving Tray on top – as a small side table for drinks and coffee.
The pouf is sewn in the same water-repellent and lightfast olefin as the chair, and the filling of non-toxic EPS beads is integrated into the construction so it keeps its shape. It is easy to move when a seating zone needs to be extended for more guests or cleared for cleaning.
Dimensions: Ø50 × 35 cm · Abrasion resistance: 20,000 Martindale · Lightfastness: 7–8
Modular sofa for year-round use
Cobana Lounge Sofa
Cobana Lounge Sofa is a modular outdoor sofa designed by Steffensen & Würtz for sackit. Seat module, corner module, armrest and pouf are connected with integrated locking brackets, so the setup can be adapted to the space – from a compact two-seater to a large corner sofa on the roof terrace or in the hotel garden.
The frame is in powder-coated aluminium that does not rust, and the modules are filled with Quick Dry Foam, which dries quickly after rain. The sofa is available in the olefin textile Kirra and in Sunproof Bouclé in 100% acrylic – both water- and dirt-repellent with high lightfastness. It is developed to stay outside all year round and has received the German Design Award.
Dimensions, seat module: 95 × 95 × 68 cm (W × D × H) · Seat height: 40 cm · Pouf: 95 × 65 × 40 cm
Freestanding hammock
Cobana Hammock
Cobana Hammock gives guests a place to unplug – without the need for trees or fixings. The stand in powder-coated aluminium stands freely on grass, decking or tiles and can be moved to follow sun and shade. This makes the hammock ideal for glamping, spa areas, holiday rentals and hotel gardens.
The bed is available in olefin (Cobana and Kirra) and in Sunproof Bouclé. The textiles are water-repellent, have lightfastness 7–8 and shape themselves to the body. Stand and bed can be bought separately, so the textile can be replaced without replacing the whole hammock. We recommend bringing it in during strong winds and storing it indoors in winter.
Dimensions, stand: 292 × 125 × 101 cm · Bed: 278 × 125 cm · Max. load: 150 kg · Delivered unassembled
One series – many zones
Because the Cobana furniture shares materials and design language, it can be combined across an entire outdoor area: lounge sofas by the bar, bean bag chairs and poufs by the pool and hammocks in the quiet part of the garden.
