Chair no. One is a series of dining chairs designed by Steffensen & Würtz with flexibility in mind – made to be used day after day, at the dining table, in the meeting room and in the conference room.
One shell or two. Upholstered or bare shell. Leather or textile. Four-leg base or swivel. Chair no. One is built around choice, so the same chair can stand at the dining table in one place and furnish the conference room in another – without losing its calm, considered expression. That makes the series a natural fit for offices, meeting rooms, restaurants and hotels where several rooms need to come together in one coherent look.

Chair No. One S1
Chair no. One S1 is the starting point of the series – a single-shell dining chair with a clean, calm design that finds its place in almost any room. Refined by Steffensen & Würtz over three years of careful development, S1 is built for long-term use and many hours of comfort at the table.
The chair comes as standard in Terra and Luna leather and can be tailored with a choice of base, finish and upholstery. With the four-leg base, S1 can also be stacked, which makes it particularly well suited to contract settings with changing needs.
The shell is moulded from recycled plastic, and the frame is made in Denmark from powder-coated steel with 25% recycled content.

Chair No. One S2
Chair no. One S2 builds on the design of S1 with one key difference: two shells that together create a more enveloping and supportive seat. The result is a chair that feels as good as it looks – and holds up over time.
S2 comes as standard in Terra and Luna leather and can be tailored with a choice of base and finish, including a four-leg base, black swivel or polished aluminium swivel, with or without return swivel. These combinations make S2 a strong choice for contract projects with high demands on both aesthetics and ergonomics.
The shells are moulded from recycled plastic, and the frame is made from powder-coated steel with recycled content.

The leather
Chair no. One comes as standard in two types of leather, Terra and Luna – but can be fully tailored to your wishes. Choose the leather or material that best suits the space and the project.
Luna leather has a velvety-soft surface and develops a beautiful, natural patina over the years, giving the chair a distinctive and unique character.
Terra leather has a classic, timeless look that keeps its appearance over time. The surface is hard-wearing and soft with a natural grain, and the leather is resilient and easy to maintain.
