Outdoor furniture for Sauna House
Sauna House has created a modern sauna community right by the water in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, where the Nordic wellness tradition meets a vision of accessibility and simplicity. With three saunas, a cold-water area and daily aufguss sessions, the experience is at the centre – and the surroundings must match the ambitions. That is why Sauna House chose the Mollis sunbed and lounge sofa from sackit to support the calm and quality their guests expect.
Nordic design for wellness and water
Sauna House was created with one clear ambition: to make sauna and cold-water bathing accessible to everyone – in unique surroundings right by the water in Copenhagen. With three saunas, a cold-water area and daily aufguss sessions, Sauna House welcomes thousands of guests every week who are looking for calm, recovery and a break from everyday life.
In a setting where experience and aesthetics go hand in hand, the demands on the interior are high. The furniture must withstand the Nordic weather, daily use and close contact with water – while supporting the sense of Nordic simplicity and quality that Sauna House is built on.
"Sauna House was created with the ambition of making sauna and cold-water bathing accessible to everyone in unique surroundings by the water. With thousands of guests every week, it is essential for us that both the interior and the experience support the feeling of calm, quality and Nordic simplicity.
That is why we chose sackit. Their design fits naturally into our universe and helps us create the relaxing setting our guests expect when they visit Sauna House. The combination of functionality, quality and aesthetics makes sackit an obvious match for our concept."

Why Sauna House chose sackit
The design fits naturally into the wellness universe and creates the relaxing setting guests expect when they walk through the door. The Mollis sunbed and lounge sofa have become part of the experience – functional, hard-wearing and aesthetically in line with the DNA of the concept.
The combination of materials that withstand water and weather and a design that doesn't shout makes sackit an obvious choice for places where comfort and atmosphere are the core offering.
When the setting is demanding – why the choice fell on Mollis
Mollis is designed for places where comfort and durability cannot be compromised. A powder-coated aluminium frame is combined with olefin covers – a fabric that is lightfast, waterproof and resistant to intensive daily use. This makes the furniture easy to maintain and made to keep both shape and colour season after season – even in a setting like Sauna House, where the furniture is in use from early morning to late evening close to the water.
The distinctive design language with clean lines and balanced proportions makes Mollis more than a functional choice. This is furniture with a clear expression that adds to the atmosphere rather than just filling space – and a natural match for a place built on Nordic calm and simplicity.
Mollis comes in several colours and can be adapted to the look of each venue. Sauna House chose Mollis in taupe – a warm, muted tone that supports the Nordic atmosphere by the water in Nordhavn.
A sunbed made for calm – and for places that demand the same
Mollis Sunbed is a classic sunbed with a modern expression – inspired by the Danish seaside hotels, where the days were long and the pace slow. That is exactly the atmosphere Sauna House is built on, which makes it a natural choice.
The construction is built around a powder-coated aluminium frame that does not rust, combined with olefin covers – lightfast, waterproof and resistant to intensive daily use close to the water. The cushions are made with Quick Dry Foam, which ensures fast drying after use – a crucial requirement in a setting like Sauna House, where guests move between heat and cold water all day.
The backrest is adjustable, so guests can find their own balance between lying and sitting. The design is calm and well considered – it sets the scene without dominating and fits naturally into the Nordic wellness universe Sauna House has created by the water in Nordhavn.
Mollis Sunbed comes in three colours: Taupe, Chestnut and Olive.
