Kirra Lounge Sofa
Kirra Lounge Sofa is a modular lounge system in Danish design with a distinct architectural profile and well-balanced proportions. Designed by Steffensen & Würtz for outdoor spaces where design is a deliberate choice – and built to stay outside all year.
The series consists of corner module, seat module, pouf and open-end modules in left- and right-facing versions, so the sofa can be put together freely – from a compact 2-seater to a large corner sofa. This makes Kirra well suited to hotels, restaurants, spa hotels and lounges, where the outdoor space needs to signal quality while working in daily operation.
The series also includes Kirra Lounge Chair in the same design language, so the entire outdoor space can be furnished in one consistent look.
Durable materials and minimal maintenance
The frame is powder-coated aluminium that does not rust – not even with prolonged exposure to rain and moisture. The cover is a hard-wearing olefin textile with 20% recycled material and a lightfastness of 7–8, so the colours last even in strong sun.
The cushions have a core of Quick Dry Foam that dries quickly after rain, and they are removable. The sofa is made to stay outside all year with minimal maintenance – the loose Kirra cushions should, however, be brought in when it rains.
Kirra Lounge Chair
Kirra Lounge Chair is part of the same series and shares the sofa's architectural lines, materials and proportions. The chair works equally well on its own as a reading spot by a coffee table and together with Kirra Lounge Sofa in larger lounge setups.
In projects, the chair makes it easy to create several zones in the same outdoor space – for example a larger lounge for groups and smaller seats for two – in one coherent look. The chair is available in Kirra Sand and Kirra Noir, just like the sofa.
Matching tables
The Kirra series also includes matching tables in powder-coated aluminium with a teak tabletop. Kirra Coffee Table (110 x 70 cm) works as the centrepiece of larger lounge setups, while Kirra Side Table (70 x 70 cm) fits next to the sofa or lounge chair.
The tables are available in Taupe and Noir and can be supplied with Accessory Fit – a round cut-out in the tabletop for accessories such as outdoor lamps, wine coolers or speakers. Teak is naturally weather-resistant and develops a beautiful patina over time, so the tables can stay outside all year.

Kirra (olefin)
Kirra Lounge Sofa is upholstered in Kirra, which is available in two colours: Sand and Noir. The textile is a hard-wearing olefin textile with 20% recycled material, developed for outdoor use all year round.
Kirra is characterised by:
- Lightfastness of 7–8, so the colours last even in strong sun
- Water-repellent and resistant to moisture
- Cannot rot – organisms cannot live in the textile
- Cushions with Quick Dry Foam that dry quickly after rain
- Removable cushions that are easy to clean
The frame
Powder-coated aluminium that does not rust
Kirra Lounge Sofa is built around a frame in powder-coated aluminium. Aluminium does not rust – not even with prolonged exposure to rain and moisture – and the powder coating provides a hard-wearing surface that is easy to keep clean in daily operation.
The light frame makes the modules easy to move when the outdoor space needs cleaning or the setup needs to change. The modules lock together with clips mounted between them, so the sofa stands together and stable – even in busy outdoor spaces with many guests. The sides are made with olefin strings, which give the sofa its light, architectural look.
Materials: Powder-coated aluminium · Olefin strings
Cushions
One Kirra cushion per module
Kirra Lounge Sofa comes with one Kirra cushion per module and can be supplemented with outdoor cushions in square, rectangular and round bolster shapes. The cushions are available in Kirra Sand and Kirra Noir and in the striped Renesse textile, so you can create a coherent look or add pattern and contrast.
The cushions can be used to style and personalise the setup, add extra comfort or highlight a particular colour in a larger project.
