Yes, it can. The fabric is made from 80% olefin and 20% recycled olefin polyester, which cannot become soiled by moisture. The sunbed cushion and neck cushion are made of Quick Dry Foam, which ensures they dry quickly.

However, we recommend bringing the cushions inside during the winter months or covering them with a cover.

Can the Kirra Double Sunbed be left outside all year round?

Yes, it can. However, we recommend that the Kirra cushion and the loose Kirra neck cushion are brought inside during the winter months or covered with a cover.

Does Kirra Double Sunbed fade in the sun?

No, it doesn't. Our Kirra Double Sunbed has a high light fastness, which ensures it won't fade in the sun.

Most of our outdoor fabrics, including Kirra, Cobana and Reesse, are made from olefin, a material that is particularly well suited for outdoor living. Olefin is available in different qualities, and we have chosen one of the best on the market from Sunproof, ensuring that the material maintains both its color and strength over time, even with intensive use and exposure to sun and weather.

The material is developed to withstand the demands of outdoor use and is characterized by:

  • Color fastness of 7–8 on a scale of 8, meaning the material will not fade in the sun in practice
  • High UV resistance, preventing the material from degrading over time when exposed to sunlight
  • Resistance to mold, mildew, stains, and abrasion
  • Water-repellent and quick-drying properties, making it suitable for changing weather conditions
  • Also used in maritime environments, among the most demanding conditions, underlining its durability

The frame is constructed from powder-coated aluminum and will not rust, even when left outside year-round. The upholstery is made from a premium olefin textile, with 20 percent recycled olefin. This material is highly resistant to daily use as well as wind and weather and scores highly in lightfastness, meaning the sunbed retains its color over time.

The cushions are filled with Quick Dry Foam, allowing them to dry quickly after rain.
