Chair no. One S1 is the clean and simple version of Chair no. One. A dining chair with a coherent design language, where comfort, materials and responsible choices are integrated from the start. The moulded shell in recycled plastic is upholstered with Nordic, traceable leather from SPOOR and provides a comfortable and supportive seating experience for everyday use around the dining table.

S1 has a light and calm expression and can be customised through different leg options, making it easy to match the chair with both table and space. For a more embracing seating experience, the chair is also available in the S2 version with double shells.

  • Ergonomic comfort with soft shapes, a slight forward tilt and a flexible back that supports the body’s natural seating position.
  • Nordic traceable leather from SPOOR, which can be traced back to individual animal, farm and farmer and is tanned without the use of chrome.

      Can Chair No. One be cleaned?

      Chair No. One is made in the finest SPOOR leather, Terra or Luna. Terra and Luna leather require different cleaning methods:

      Terra

      Use a soft cloth or sponge dipped in a recommended leather soap and water solution. Gently wipe the surface of the chair with the damp cloth and remove any stains or dirt. Then wipe the leather with a clean, dry cloth for polishing.

      Luna

      This leather is open and will patinate naturally over time. If necessary, use a clean, hard-wrung cloth to wipe off any stains.

      NOTE: It is always a good idea to test the cleaning method on a small, invisible area of the chair before applying it to the visible leather surface.

      Can Chair No. One stables?

      Chair No. One S1 can be stacked, as the legs easily fit around the shell's shape. Chair No. One S1 with a swivel base and Chair No. One S2 cannot be stacked.

      Does the leather patinate?

      Yes, it does. The leather patinates over time with use and touch. This gives the chair a natural patina that adds depth and character to the chair. The patination is also a sign of the SPOOR leather's authenticity.

      SPOOR Leather

      SPOOR Collection is quality leather from Scan-Hide, Denmark's last tannery. The leather is 100% traceable from the cow to the finished product. This means that the leather used in the product you buy can be traced through the entire process from the farm to the factory to your dining chair.

      SPOOR ensures complete transparency by only sourcing raw hides directly from slaughterhouses that buy the cattle directly from the farmers who raise the animals. Therefore, you can be sure where the leather comes from.

      In addition, SPOOR guarantees that the leather comes from Northern European raw hides, as they only buy from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, and the Netherlands. Therefore, you are also guaranteed that the cattle have lived under some of the highest animal welfare standards in the world.

      Polypropylen (PP)

      Polypropylene (PP) is a strong and versatile design material that we have chosen for both the shells of our outdoor chairs and as the core of our indoor chairs. The material combines high strength with a degree of flexibility, allowing the furniture to withstand everyday use while maintaining shape and function.

      For outdoor use, polypropylene is particularly well suited as it does not absorb moisture and is resistant to temperature changes and wear. This makes the chairs robust and stable, even when used outdoors over time. Indoors, polypropylene serves as a solid and form-stable core that provides strength and long-lasting durability while allowing for a light and precise design. For us, polypropylene is a considered material choice where function, durability and design go hand in hand. That is why we primarily use recycled polypropylene in our production. All our furniture comes with a 5-year warranty*.

      Chair no. One is designed with a focus on responsible material choices and long-lasting quality. The chair’s shells are made from recycled plastic sourced from industrial waste, while the frame consists of 25% recycled steel. The upholstery is crafted in Nordic, traceable leather from SPOOR, tanned without the use of chrome to reduce environmental impact.

      Chair no. One is upholstered in Europe, the frame is manufactured in Denmark, and the leather is tanned at the last remaining tannery in Denmark. This ensures a considered production with short distances and clear provenance.

      Chair no. One is available in two different leather types, Terra and Luna, from Danish SPOOR. Choose the leather that best suits you and your personal style.

      Luna leather is tanned without chrome and patinates beautifully and naturally over the years. The patination gives you a chair with a distinctive and unique look. With its velvety soft surface, Luna exudes quality.

      Terra leather is tanned without the use of chrome and has a classic and timeless look that remains the same over time. This leather type has an extremely durable surface that is soft and has a natural grain that highlights and emphasizes the natural and unique nature of the leather. This leather type is resistant and easy to maintain.
