How to choose a cordless table lamp

A cordless table lamp has a rechargeable battery instead of a plug. You place it where you want the light, not where the socket happens to be. Many people use a cordless table lamp on the dining table, where a cable would otherwise run across the floor, or on a bookshelf with no power nearby.

Battery life and charging

Battery life decides how often you need to charge the lamp. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ lasts over 24 hours at 50% brightness and 14 hours at 80%. If you use it for three hours every evening at half brightness, one charge lasts more than a week. The lamp is charged with the included cable or in the Lamp Charging Station, which holds six lamps and charges them in around 8 hours.

If you want a rechargeable table lamp with a battery you can replace yourself, take a look at Light 155. It lasts over 24 hours at 50% brightness and is charged via USB-C.

Small cordless table lamp

Lamp Intelligent+ is 9 cm in diameter and fits on a windowsill or a narrow shelf. If you want the light higher up, you can place the lamp in one of the bases from the Ambience series. London comes in three heights from 5.4 to 9.9 cm, Oslo is made of solid oak, and Aalborg lifts the light to a height of 35 cm behind opal glass.

Cordless table lamp for indoors and outdoors

Lamp Intelligent+ and Light 155 are IP67 rated and withstand rain and frost down to -20 °C. The same lamp can therefore stand on the dining table in winter and on the garden table in summer. The base must also handle the weather: London, New York and Aalborg can stay outside, while Oslo in oak should be brought in after use.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions

How bright is a rechargeable table lamp?

Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ gives 120 lumens and Light 155 gives 180 lumens. That is enough for mood lighting and for reading close to the lamp, but not for lighting a whole room.

Can I control several cordless table lamps at once?

Yes. Lamp Intelligent+ and Light 155 connect to the sackit app via Bluetooth, where you can control up to 100 lamps together or one at a time.

Does the lamp come with a base?

Yes, Lamp Intelligent+ comes with a standard foot. If you want a different look, you can buy one of our lamp bases separately, and the lamp fits all of them.

Can the battery be replaced when it wears out?

Yes, in Light 155. The battery is sold separately as Battery 5200.

How long does it take to charge a cordless table lamp?

Around 8 hours for Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ in the Lamp Charging Station. Charge it overnight and it is ready the next evening.
