Yes, it can. The fabric is made of the 100% synthetic Olefin material, which can't become mouldy due to moisture.

Can Cobana Hammock be outside the whole year?

Yes, it can. However, we recommend that you take it inside through the winter.

Olefin

Most of our outdoor fabrics are made from olefin, a material particularly well suited for life outdoors. Olefin is naturally UV-resistant and offers high colour fastness, meaning the colours stay vibrant even when exposed to sunlight over time. At the same time, the fabric is water-repellent and quick-drying, making it suitable for repeated use in changing weather conditions.

Olefin is easy to maintain and simple to clean. Because the material does not absorb moisture, mould and mildew cannot develop in the fabric. This makes it ideal for outdoor furniture that needs to withstand daily use with minimal effort. That is why we have chosen olefin for our outdoor products. Powder-coated Aluminum

Powder-coated aluminium is one of the best materials for outdoor furniture, as it combines low weight with high strength and a surface designed to withstand outdoor use. The powder-coating creates a hard, protective finish that helps resist corrosion, moisture, and everyday wear, ensuring the furniture remains attractive season after season. Boucle

Our bouclé fabric is made from high quality acrylic. The small loops in the yarn create a soft and lively texture with a look reminiscent of lambswool. This adds a warm and tactile character to the furniture while the material is developed for outdoor use.

Acrylic is naturally UV resistant and has a very high lightfastness rating of 8 on a scale from 1 to 8, which is the highest classification. This means the colours maintain their clarity even after prolonged exposure to sunlight. At the same time, the material is resistant to moisture and can withstand both chlorine and salt water, making it suitable for outdoor environments near pools, terraces and the sea.

The fabric is durable and tested for high resistance to everyday use while remaining easy to maintain and clean. The Champagne fabric is made from organically certified textile, ensuring the material is produced under controlled conditions. Danish Design

The Cobana Hammock gives you a well-though-out danish design. Two ergonomically shaped metal wires have been sewn into the hammock, making sure that it keeps its shape and gives you fantastic comfort when chilling. Along its edges, there’s beautiful hand-sewn flax stiches that gives the design a little edge and fine details.

Water-repellent

Throw it out(side)! Cobana Hammock is designed for outdoor use, as the materials are durable and water-repellent. The hammock is available in the olefin textiles Kirra and Cobana as well as in the acrylic textile Sunproof Bouclé. All materials are developed for outdoor living and are resistant to moisture and daily use.

Olefin is a 100% synthetic fibre that does not develop mildew from moisture. Sunproof Bouclé is made from acrylic with small loops that create a soft, textured surface reminiscent of lamb’s wool.Acrylic is naturally UV resistant and has a colour fastness of 8 on a scale from 1 to 8, meaning the colours retain their clarity even with long exposure to sunlight.

You can safely leave your Cobana hammock outside, even when it rains. In heavy rain you may choose to protect it with a cover so it stays dry and ready when the sun returns.

Lightfast

It is wonderful when the sun is shining, and luckily we think so too. That is why Cobana Hammock is made from synthetic materials that do not fade in the sun. The hammock is available in the olefin textiles Kirra and Cobana as well as in the acrylic textile Sunproof Bouclé. Both materials have a colour fastness of 7–8, where 8 is the highest level on the colour fastness scale. This means the hammock keeps its colour even when the sun is high in the sky. Just remember your own sunscreen.

A small material nerd detail. A colour fastness of 7–8 is among the highest levels for outdoor textiles. In practice this means the colours break down very slowly from UV light, which is why materials such as olefin and acrylic are used in everything from sailcloth to outdoor furniture. They are simply built to live outdoors.

Hand-sewn Stitches

The beautiful hand-sewn stitches along the edge makes every product unique. The thread is made of thick flax, which gives the design an edge and a raw look. It’s SACKit’s DNA!

Aluminum Stand

The aluminum stand is made of high-quality and stable aluminum. You can safely let the stand stay outside – even in the worst weather possible!
