Bedroom Lighting
A bedroom needs light for the morning and light that can be turned down in the evening. Here you will find ceiling lights, wall lamps and bedside lamps that work on their own or together.

How to choose bedroom lighting
Good bedroom lighting gives you enough light to make the bed and find your clothes in the morning, but it should also give a calm light in the evening. Most bedrooms therefore work best with two or three light sources: light from the ceiling, light by the bed and perhaps a lamp in a corner. We recommend warm light of around 2700 K, because it suits a room where you want to wind down.
Ceiling lights for the bedroom
The ceiling light gives the general light you use when folding clothes or packing a suitcase. A pendant from the Dawn series gives glare-free light downwards because the bulb sits recessed in the shade, while the perforation at the top sends a little light up towards the ceiling. Dawn comes in Ø25 and Ø40, so you can choose the size to suit the room. Expo Ceiling is a smaller bedroom ceiling light with a lamp head that turns 360 degrees and tilts, so you can point the light at the wardrobe, for example. See all our ceiling lamps and pendant lights.
Light by the bed
By the bed, the light should be good for reading without lighting up the whole room. A cordless lamp such as Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ can stand on the bedside table and be dimmed from your phone. If the bedside table is small, Expo Wall frees up space because it sits on the wall. You will find more advice and models under bedside lamps.
Mood lighting and a reading corner
If you have an armchair or a chest of drawers in the bedroom, a lamp there gives a soft light when the ceiling light is off. Expo Floor has a lamp head that turns and tilts, so the light falls on your book and not on the bed. If you want to avoid cables, Light 155 can stand on the chest of drawers. It lasts over 24 hours at 50% brightness.
Bedroom lighting ideas
- Small bedroom: An Expo Wall on each side of the bed keeps the bedside tables clear, and an Expo Ceiling can be pointed at the wardrobe.
- Spacious bedroom: A Dawn pendant on the ceiling, Expo Table on the bedside tables and Expo Floor by the armchair.
- No socket by the bed: Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ or Light 155 on the bedside table. Charge them during the day and take them out onto the terrace in summer. See more cordless table lamps.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions
What colour temperature is best for a bedroom?
Warm white light of around 2700 K. It is the colour temperature of sackit's bulbs for Dawn and Expo, and it feels calmer in the evening than cold light.
Can the Dawn and Expo lamps be dimmed?
Yes, but in different ways. Dawn and the Expo lamps with a bulb can be dimmed with a smart bulb, but sackit's own Bulb GU10 cannot be dimmed in the Expo lamps. Expo 185 and Expo 120 have built-in LEDs and are dimmed with a foot pedal.
Can a pendant light be fitted to a sloping ceiling?
Yes. Dawn Pendant is screwed to the ceiling with the included ceiling cup and can be fitted to a sloping ceiling. Installation instructions are included.
Can I control the bedroom lighting from my phone?
Yes, with Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ and Light 155, which connect to the sackit app via Bluetooth. Dawn and the Expo lamps with a bulb can also be controlled from your phone if you use a smart bulb.
Do the lamps come with bulbs?
Not Dawn and Expo. Dawn uses an E27 bulb, and Expo Ceiling, Wall, Table and Floor use a GU10 bulb. You will find both under light bulbs.
