Desk Lamps
Good light at your desk makes it easier to read, write and sit at a screen for hours. Here you will find desk lamps and office lamps for the home office.
Find the right desk lamp
A good desk lamp lights up the work surface without dazzling you and without glare on the screen. You should be able to point the light at what you are working on, and the lamp should stand steady. In a home office it works best to have a desk lamp close to your work and a calm general light in the rest of the room.
Desk lamp with a marble base
Expo Table has a solid marble base, so it stands steady on the desk. The light source sits recessed in the shade and gives glare-free light, and the lamp head turns and tilts, so you can point the light at your keyboard or papers. The lamp is 66 cm high, switches on with a touch button and has a 250 cm cable. See all our table lamps.
Office lamp by the reading chair
If you have a reading chair in your office, Expo Floor can stand beside it. The lamp head turns and tilts, so the light falls over your shoulder onto your book or document. See all floor lamps.
Desk lamp for children
For a homework desk, a lamp with glare-free light and an adjustable head is a good choice, because the child can point the light at the book themselves. Run the cable along the edge of the desk so it does not hang loose. You will find more advice on lighting the children's room under night lights.
Can a rechargeable lamp be used in the office?
Yes, but mainly as a supplement. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ gives 120 lumens and Light 155 180 lumens. That is enough for mood lighting and a little light by the keyboard, but not to replace a desk lamp with a cable. On the other hand, you can take them with you from the desk to the sofa. General light and placement
Besides the desk lamp, the office needs general light, so the contrast between the bright work surface and a dark room is not too great. A pendant from the Dawn series or Expo Ceiling gives even light from the ceiling. As a rule of thumb, the desk lamp stands on the opposite side to the hand you write with, so you do not cast a shadow over your work. Place the lamp beside the screen rather than behind it to avoid glare.
