Find the right night light for the children's room
A good night light gives so little light that a child can sleep, but enough to find the way if they wake up. Choose a lamp that dims right down and gives warm light. We recommend around 2700 K, because warm light is calmer to fall asleep to than cold, white light. Many adults also use a night light, for example in the hallway or bathroom at night.
Rechargeable night light for children
A cordless night light can stand on the bedside table or a shelf without a cable for a child to pull. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ is dimmed on the lamp itself or from your phone in the sackit app, so you can adjust the light without switching on the ceiling light. It lasts over 24 hours at 50% brightness. See more cordless table lamps, and find reading lights for the bed under bedside lamps.
How bright should a night light be?
As dim as possible. Turn it down to the lowest level at which the child can still see the door and the way out of bed. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ has three preset light levels and can also be adjusted steplessly, so you can find the level that suits your child.
Ceiling light for the children's room
During the day the children's room needs good general light for play and homework. A pendant from the Dawn series or Expo Ceiling gives glare-free light because the bulb sits recessed in the shade. Fit a smart bulb if you want to dim the ceiling light in the evening.
Wall-mounted night light
A wall lamp above the bed or desk takes up no space on the floor or table. Expo Wall has a lamp head that turns and tilts, so the light can be pointed at a book or homework.
Safety in the children's room
Place lamps with a cable so the cable does not hang loose, and keep chargers and loose batteries out of reach of small children. Lamps with a naked flame, such as a bio lamp, do not belong in a child's room.

FAQ – Frequently asked questions
What colour temperature is best for a night light?
Warm light of around 2700 K. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ and Light 155 both give 2700 K.
Can the night light stay on all night?
Yes, at low brightness. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ lasts over 24 hours at 50% brightness, so it easily lasts a whole night.
Can I dim the night light from my phone?
Yes. Ambience Lamp Intelligent+ and Light 155 connect to the sackit app via Bluetooth, where you can adjust the brightness.
Where should a night light stand?
A little away from the bed, for example on a shelf or chest of drawers, so the light does not shine straight into the child's eyes. Place it out of reach of small children.
How long does it take to charge the night light?
Around 8 hours in the Lamp Charging Station. Charge it during the day and it is ready for bedtime.
