Can Cobana Lounge Sofa handle water?

Yes. The sofa is available in olefin textiles or Sunproof Bouclé, both developed for outdoor use. These materials withstand moisture and changing weather conditions, while the Quick Dry Foam inside the modules ensures the sofa dries quickly after rain. The loose Cobana cushions should, however, be brought indoors during rain.

Can Cobana Lounge Sofa stay outside all year round?

Yes. The sofa is designed for year-round outdoor use. We do, however, recommend bringing the loose Cobana cushions indoors during extended periods of rain.

Will Cobana Lounge Sofa fade in the sun?

No. Both olefin and Sunproof Bouclé have high lightfastness, helping the colours retain their appearance even with regular sun exposure.

What is the seat height and depth?

The seat height is 40 cm and the seat depth is 50 cm.

Can Cobana Lounge Sofa rot?

No. The synthetic fibres used in the Cobana series do not provide conditions where organisms can grow or degrade the material.

Does Cobana Lounge Sofa come with cushions?

Yes. The sofa includes one cushion per section. If you would like to make your Cobana Lounge Sofa even more comfortable, you can purchase additional cushions here.

How do I clean the Cobana Lounge Sofa?

How are the modules connected?

The modules are connected using integrated locking brackets. When the modules are pushed together, the brackets engage and hold the elements securely in place.

Most of our outdoor fabrics are made from olefin, a material particularly well suited for life outdoors. Olefin is naturally UV-resistant and offers high colour fastness, meaning the colours stay vibrant even when exposed to sunlight over time. At the same time, the fabric is water-repellent and quick-drying, making it suitable for repeated use in changing weather conditions.

Olefin is easy to maintain and simple to clean. Because the material does not absorb moisture, mould and mildew cannot develop in the fabric. This makes it ideal for outdoor furniture that needs to withstand daily use with minimal effort. That is why we have chosen olefin for our outdoor products. Powder-coated Aluminum

Powder-coated aluminium is one of the best materials for outdoor furniture, as it combines low weight with high strength and a surface designed to withstand outdoor use. The powder-coating creates a hard, protective finish that helps resist corrosion, moisture, and everyday wear, ensuring the furniture remains attractive season after season. At the same time, the light weight of aluminium makes the furniture easy to move, without compromising on stability or quality.

Quick Dry Foam

Quick Dry Foam (also known as reticulated foam) is a specially developed foam designed for outdoor furniture. Its open, net-like cell structure allows water to drain quickly instead of being trapped inside the material. This means cushions and seats dry significantly faster after rain.

Because Quick Dry Foam does not retain moisture, it does not create conditions for mould or bacteria to grow. The material maintains its shape, comfort, and hygiene over time – even when used outdoors throughout the season.

This combination of fast drainage, quick drying, and long-lasting durability makes Quick Dry Foam an ideal choice for outdoor furniture. That’s why we use it in our outdoor range and offer a 5-year warranty*.

Boucle

Our bouclé fabric is made from high quality acrylic. The small loops in the yarn create a soft and lively texture with a look reminiscent of lambswool. This adds a warm and tactile character to the furniture while the material is developed for outdoor use.

Acrylic is naturally UV resistant and has a very high lightfastness rating of 8 on a scale from 1 to 8, which is the highest classification. This means the colours maintain their clarity even after prolonged exposure to sunlight. At the same time, the material is resistant to moisture and can withstand both chlorine and salt water, making it suitable for outdoor environments near pools, terraces and the sea.

The fabric is durable and tested for high resistance to everyday use while remaining easy to maintain and clean. The Champagne fabric is made from organically certified textile, ensuring the material is produced under controlled conditions. A thoughtful material choice that combines comfort, durability and a calm, elegant look for outdoor living.

There is no need to worry about the weather. The Cobana Sofa is developed for outdoor living and made from materials that handle rain, sun, and changing temperatures with ease. This means the sofa can stay outside all year, without the hassle of moving furniture in and out as the seasons change.

The sofa is available in the olefin textiles Kirra and Cobana as well as in Sunproof Bouclé made from 100% acrylic. Both materials are water- and dirt-repellent and developed specifically for outdoor use. Olefin is a fully synthetic fibre that does not develop mildew from moisture, while the acrylic bouclé textile combines a soft texture with high resistance to outdoor conditions.

Quick Dry Foam inside the modules allows water to drain and dry quickly after rain. The textiles also have a lightfastness rating of 7–8, one of the highest levels for outdoor fabrics. This helps the colours stay vibrant even when the sofa is exposed to sunlight day after day.
